Book with your AI assistant
Ask ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to book your dog or cat’s dental appointment at Luna. It can see our clinics and prices, find a free time and book it for you, once you’ve agreed the details.
What your assistant can do
- Tell you about our clinics in Bristol, Reading and Eastleigh, our appointments and our fixed prices
- Find free times for a free dental health check or a dental, at the clinic you choose
- Book the appointment in the clinic’s own diary, and give you a booking reference
Add Luna to your assistant
MCP server address: https://luna.pet/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no sign-in).
- Claude: In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector named “Luna the Dental Vets” with the address below.
- ChatGPT: In ChatGPT, add a custom app or connector (MCP) with the address below. Depending on your plan, this may sit under developer mode in Settings.
- Other assistants and developers: Any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol can connect to the address below. The same steps are also a plain JSON API, described at luna.pet/openapi.json.
Good to know
- Your assistant can only book a time the clinic’s diary is offering at that moment.
- A dental (anything but the free check) needs the name of your pet’s usual vet practice.
- No sign-in or account is needed. To keep the diaries fair, one person can make up to three bookings in ten minutes.
- Some clinics confirm dentals by hand: then the booking is a request, and the clinic contacts you to confirm it.
What we receive
To book, your assistant sends us your name, email and phone number, your pet’s name, species and breed, your pet’s usual vet (for a dental) and any note for the clinic. We use them as we use a booking made on our website. We don’t see your conversation with the assistant. Privacy policy.
The tools
list_clinics_and_services(read-only): Our clinics (address, phone, hours) and appointment types (what each is, its price, how long it takes, what it needs).find_available_slots(read-only): Free times at one clinic for one appointment type, about a week at a time, and any clinic that could see your pet sooner.book_appointment(books): Books a real appointment in the clinic’s diary with the details you agreed, and returns a reference. Your assistant should always check with you first.
Testing
Trying it out? Book with an email address at example.com. Your assistant goes through every step and gets a reference back, but nothing is written to a clinic’s diary and nobody is contacted.

If something goes wrong, call the clinic or email hello@luna.pet, and quote the reference if you have one.
